My Chemical Romance is an American Alternative rock band from parts of New Jersey and Chicago, Illinois. Gerard Way who does lead vocals, Mikey Way who plays bass, Bob Bryar who is on the drums, Frank Lero who plays rhythm guitar, and Ray Toro on lead guitar, make up this rock band. The band was created when lead singer Gerard witnessed the September 11 attacks and it influenced his life, and that is when the idea for a band started. Then Toro joined the group followed by Mikey and then Frank. This is when My Chemical Romance started.
Three months or so after the band came together; they started recording their first album and were signed with Eyeball Records. Their first album "I brought you bullets, you brought me love" was released. They then went on in 2003 and signed with Reprise Records and started their second album after a tour with Avenged Sevenfold. Their album " Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" was released and went platinum in a year's time. In 2005, they toured on the Taste of Choas tour and opened up for Green Day on the American Idiot Tour.
My Chemical Romance's music is similar to a horror film base. Some may say a gothic look. They have often been said to be emo. Many other bands have put down My Chemical Romance because of this issue. Some bands have said that they do not care about their music and all they care about is making money and their clothing. This is not true at all, My Chemical Romance loves what they do, and the music they sing.
